Jamal captures the sound of his generation by blending Afrocentric rhythms with vocals that range far in tonality and color. His craft: building tension, suspense, and climactic moments — from intimate vocal performances to straight-up club sets at raves.
The Berlin-based artist embraces his Angolan, Southern European, and North African heritage through artistry and by design. His hybrid DJ setup pairs decks with live instrumentation and vocals — a performance language at home in intimate listening rooms and on rave floors alike. Through eccentric live performances and a concurrent streak of chart-topping releases, he’s caught the attention of mainstage techno DJs, underground curators, tastemakers and contemporary art institutions alike.
His upcoming release further establishes his unique positioning as an interdisciplinary artist born and raised between worlds. A natural connector and empath, he uses his art as a means to bridge these worlds — so estranged, yet so alike.
The project is being created between Berlin and Luanda and is due for release in 2026.
